Our Energy & Resources Division has an exciting new opportunity to join the Sodexo team as our next Human Resources and Indigenous Employment & Training Manager located in Northern Quebec. You will be required to work with a rotation of three weeks in camp/three weeks out. Sodexo will provide flights from Montreal or Val D'Or.
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Job Description
Indigenous Employment & Community Hiring
- Collaborate closely with partners on Indigenous recruitment, pre‑employment preparation, and hiring coordination
- Support community‑based hiring processes by ensuring alignment between community candidates and site requirements
- Act as a point of contact between community partners and on‑site Operations regarding Indigenous employment
- Support solutions to employment barriers that may affect retention or attendance
Onboarding & Workforce Integration
- Coordinate Indigenous‑specific onboarding activities in partnership with site leadership
- Ensure buddy assignments and early check‑ins are in place for new employees
- Monitor early tenure and support supervisors in addressing integration challenges
- Escalate and resolve onboarding or probationary issues proactively
Training, Development & Advancement
- Coordinate entry‑level skills development and on‑the‑job training pathways
- Support access to relevant training, certifications, and apprenticeship pathways where applicable
- Coordinate work placements and readiness assessments in collaboration with Operations
Tracking, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Track our partner employment, training participation, and advancement outcomes on site

Maintain readiness and development records for employees

Provide input into reporting required by the client and internal governance

Identify systemic barriers and recommend continuous improvement actions
Qualifications
-
Experience working in Indigenous employment, workforce development, or community‑based hiring environments
-
Strong understanding of Indigenous community contexts (lived experience or demonstrated professional experience)
-
Experience supporting frontline workforce development or training programs
-
Strong relationship‑building skills across operations, HR, and community partners
-
Ability to operate effectively in a remote, fast‑paced camp environment
-
High degree of discretion, cultural humility, and practical problem‑solving ability
