SCOPE

With a great “can-do” attitude and good physical condition, employees will be assembling orders for customers, assisting with incoming products and merchandise and assisting with housekeeping, maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse area. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

RESPONSIBILITY

  • Packaging
  • Preps Hoses, tanks, and connection pieces for a day’s production.
  • Puts pails on the line to be filled by the Filler heads at the front of the machine.
  • Puts lids on pails and guide them through the motorized belt that applies pressure to seal it.
  • Uses the Vacuum Head machine to pick up all four pails at the same time and clean the bottoms of the pails with rags before stacking it onto a pallet.
  • Move pallets when they are complete and puts down new pallet(s) to be built next.
  • Double check the Day Code is on the correct date, and that it is printing clearly on the pails that are being run and after any change of products being produced.
  • Spot check everything before opening any valves or tanks prior to starting up the Pail Machine. This includes:
  • Pails,
  • Tanks,
  • Hoses,
  • Transfers lines and
  • the Day code.
  • Filling out the correct paperwork in both departments before starting any runs
  • Filling out the required paperwork at the end of the day to ensure all is correct for what has been produced that day.
  • Locating and staging pails on the mezzanine for the day’s production.
  • Tracking the litres ran through the Bag Filters and changing out the Bag Filters between Hydraulic runs when needed.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance
  • Helps maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse area, including sweeping and cleaning up any spills, removing pallets and empty pails and keeping the aisles clean and clear of any debris.
  • Follows scheduled equipment inspections and maintenance, including daily safety checks.
  • Reviews equipment performance and recommends and/or justifies repairs or replacement.

  • Ensures that staff and co-workers operate safely.
  • Identifies work-place safety hazards and advises the Supervisor.
  • Performs regular safety checks.
  • Adheres to all company policies, safety practices and initiatives.
  • Leadership and Teamwork
  • Works closely with employees in other departments as well as with the internal office and management teams.
  • Assists with promoting Boss’ key service deliverables.
  • Promotes, demonstrates and reinforces Boss’ 4 core values in all day-to-day actions.
  • Assists with promoting a positive team atmosphere.
  • Assists with training staff to ensure they have the “tools” necessary to perform their job to the best of their ability.
  • Assists with ensuring efficient collaboration of all staff in the warehouse to achieve our desired goals and results.
