JOB POSTING
HAIDA LANGUAGE AND CULTURE TEACHERS TEACHING ON CALL
School District No. 50 (Haida Gwaii) requires the services of Haida Language and Culture Teachers Teaching On Call to work within the Haida Gwaii School Districts Haida Language classrooms.
The district hires both certified teachers and non-certified substitutes to replace Haida Language teachers when they are absent. Individual assignments may last from half days to a few weeks.
Individuals with Haida ancestry and/or have demonstrated Haida Language and Culture experiences are encouraged to apply.
School District No. 50 (Haida Gwaii) hires on the basis of merit and is committed to employment equity. Preference will be given to qualified new hires with Haida and/or other Indigenous ancestry who have demonstrated knowledge and experience of Haida culture.
