Expressions of Interest – District Physiotherapy
About the role
School District 60 (Peace River North) is seeking expressions of interest from qualified physiotherapists to provide contract services within the school district.
Services will commence September 2026 and will continue up to and including June 26, 2027.
Physiotherapy is a professional health discipline primarily directed toward the prevention and alleviation of movement dysfunction to promote maximal independence for the student in his/her home, school and community. Physiotherapists provide services to children with orthopaedic, neurological, muscular, spinal, or joint dysfunction. These services include assistance in physical positioning to promote optimal physical access, assistance in maximizing independence for students who have limited mobility, and prevention and alleviation of movement dysfunction. These services may include, but are not limited to:
- screening/assessment;
- consultation for school staff/families;
- training of staff to carry out routines such as positioning, seating, feeding or motor activities for optimal maintenance of students in classroom settings during the school day; and
- monitoring and ongoing evaluation of students in classroom settings related to physical therapy.
