The** Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese ** (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. ABOUT
St. Andrew’s is located in a culturally diverse area of East Vancouver. We
are a single streamed school with approximately 180 students embedded in a
residential area. Our mission statement affirms that, St. Andrew’s School
recognizes that each child is made in the image of God. Our aim is to provide
each child with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for life-long
learning. As partners with the parents, we are dedicated to educating the
whole child: spiritually, intellectually, physically, emotionally,
aesthetically and socially.
JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Andrew’s is looking for a dynamic and passionate Grade 1 teacher to join our school community. Preference will be given to BC-certified teachers with experience teaching in Catholic schools. We are looking for candidates with a strong Catholic faith life and experienced with pre-sacramental preparation. The candidate will contribute to extracurricular activities, having knowledge and experience with badminton and track & field, and is proficient with the design and construction of backdrops, props and costumes.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year, but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
