Full Job Description
Responsive Children’s Supports Ltd. is a not-for-profit agency that provides services to children with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges and their families.
The successful candidate will utilize clinical skills to provide short-term, intensive support for the development and implementation of support plans. These support plans will help to facilitate the growth and independence of individuals, as well as provide coaching to families and/or caregivers. The Behaviour Consultant will be supervised by Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA). The Behaviour Consultant will also support individuals and their caregivers through advocacy, skills training, and community education.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Degree in human services from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalency is required (e.g. psychology, social work, etc.)
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities required
- Experience working with individuals with dual diagnosis preferred
- Experience with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) an asset
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage time effectively within required timelines
- A vehicle is required for this position
Working Schedule
The schedule of the Behaviour Consultant is Monday to Friday, with flexible hours totalling 30 hours per week, likely to be in the afternoon or evening
