THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Manager, Commercial & Joint Venture Management, this role supports the evaluation, structuring, and execution of LNG commercial and venture opportunities across PETRONAS’ global portfolio. In this dynamic role, you will deliver commercial, economic, and contractual analyses, develop valuation models, and contribute to negotiations, due diligence, and management approvals to enable value‑accretive and well‑governed investment decisions.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE**:**

  • Analyze commercial, market, and industry data to support LNG venture decisions
  • Evaluate commercial terms, monetization options, and value drivers across contracts and investments
  • Develop economic and financial models to support valuations and decision‑making
  • Support negotiations, due diligence exercises, and transaction processes
  • Prepare commercial analyses, issue logs, risk matrices, and management approval materials
  • Coordinate inputs across finance, legal, tax, technical teams, and external advisors
  • Advise management by highlighting commercial risks, sensitivities, and mitigation options

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline, with 5–8 years of relevant experience in LNG, oil & gas, energy projects, or commercial / venture management
  • Strong capability in commercial evaluation, economic analysis, and financial modelling, with the ability to assess value drivers, sensitivities, and risks
  • Practical experience supporting commercial agreements, negotiations, and governance approvals, with a solid understanding of structured decision‑making frameworks
  • Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines, working effectively with finance, legal, tax, technical teams, and external advisors
  • Clear and confident communication skills, enabling you to prepare high‑quality analyses, summaries, and materials for management review
  • Exposure to LNG contracts, joint ventures, tolling or investment transactions, and/or commercial due diligence
  • A curious, growth‑oriented mindset with a strong interest in deepening LNG, commercial, and venture management expertise
