Maaqtusiis Secondary School in Ahousaht is looking for a High School teacher to join our team in a pristine village on the beautiful west coast of Vancouver Island. As our school moves to the next level, we are looking for enthusiastic candidates who:

• are certified to teach in BC
• can teach Math 8-10
• believes that all students can learn to high levels
• are energetic and optimistic and can bring new course options to our school
• are student- and learning-focused in an action/solution-oriented school
• are ready and able to work with and differentiate for students of different ability levels in the same classroom
• are flexible and adaptable in meeting student’s needs
• have some knowledge of Ahousaht Culture
• recognizes the importance of building relationships in improving learning
• preferably has classroom experience
• Salary is based on SD70 Pay grid
