This opportunity is for a Building Operator with experience in Commercial Buildings. The Building Operator will support the safe, efficient operation of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life‑safety systems across their properties. Reporting to the Lead Building Operator, this role focuses on service response, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring a high standard of tenant satisfaction.

Description
- Operate and maintain building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal functioning of all equipment and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns.
- Respond promptly to service requests and resolve issues efficiently.
- Monitor building safety, security, and fire prevention systems.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors for repairs and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Participate in cross‑training across multiple properties and rotate on-call duties for 24/7 coverage.

Profile
A successful Building Operator should have:
- Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- 3-5 years' of experience in building operations.
- Knowledge of HVAC, BAS, Ontario Building Code, AODA, and ability to interpret drawings.
- BES/BOMI certifications preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in maintaining records and documentation.
- Commitment to ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
