Job Description:
Position Purpose:
The Social Worker Administrator role exists to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of the Pathway of Hope framework across the territory by providing expert guidance, coordination, and oversight. The role supports ministry units through internal consulting, training, and enables mission-driven, outcomes-focused casework services. The Social Worker Administrator role exists to ensure Pathway of Hope programs are delivered consistently, effectively, and in alignment with The Salvation Army’s mission across Canada and Bermuda. The role contributes by providing expert consultation, training, and data support to ministry units, enabling high-quality, outcomes-focused casework services. By coordinating implementation and supporting stakeholders at all organizational levels, the role strengthens program impact, accountability, and service quality for participants.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide expert internal consulting and hands‑on support to advance effective Pathway of Hope implementation, change initiatives, and program performance across ministry units and divisions.
- Lead strategic projects and capacity‑building efforts that strengthen staff capability, service quality, and mission‑driven, outcomes‑focused programming.
- Monitor poverty‑reduction trends, service practices, and program data to guide continuous improvement and ensure alignment with national, provincial, and funder requirements.
- Equip stakeholders to plan, deliver, evaluate, and sustain high‑quality programs by strengthening systems, processes, funding approaches, and accountability structures.
- Facilitate collaboration through communities of practice, conferences, workshops, and partnerships that foster shared learning and innovative service delivery.
- Develop and maintain policies, standards, tools, and documentation that promote consistent, evidence‑informed practice and measurable outcomes across Pathway of Hope.
- Train and support service workers by delivering structured learning, coaching, and clinical guidance, while remaining accountable for knowledge transfer and workforce readiness.
- Expand organizational impact by engaging community partners, supporting funding applications, and cultivating innovative resources and partnerships for participants.
- Supervise and mentor staff, students, and volunteers by setting priorities, overseeing workflow, participating in recruitment, and supporting performance and professional development.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- Master’s level degree in business, social work or health-related discipline is required.
- A professional designation/certification in a specialized area (ex. Licensed Social Worker).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in direct client management support services field.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of provincial and federal poverty‑reduction strategies and their application within social service systems.
- Apply extensive expertise in social services administration and program development through a professional social work lens.
- Navigate complex, multi‑provincial social service environments while building effective relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Lead change through effective communication, coaching, facilitation, and relationship‑building across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Analyze complex information using advanced critical thinking, problem‑solving, and synthesis to inform sound judgment and decision‑making.
- Plan and execute work independently and collaboratively by setting priorities, organizing resources, and meeting objectives efficiently.
- Communicate effectively by preparing and delivering clear educational materials, presentations, and written documentation.
- Utilize strong technical skills, time management, and influencing abilities to support data‑driven, well‑coordinated program outcomes.
Please note, the compensation available for this role is $75,000.
Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $74,656.40 to $93,311.40 with a maximum of $111,984.60.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
