About Us
Nelson Community Preschool is a warm, inclusive, play-based early learning
program dedicated to supporting the growth and development of children ages
3–5. As part of a faith-based organization, our work is rooted in Christian
values, emphasizing compassion, kindness, and respect for all.
We welcome children and families from diverse backgrounds and are committed to
fostering a nurturing, joyful, and loving environment where every child feels
valued and supported.
We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Educator
to join our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate programming for children ages 3–5
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and values-centered classroom environment
- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children at all times
- Collaborate effectively with fellow educators, families, and community partners
- Maintain clear, professional communication with families and team members
- Integrate Christian values into daily routines and learning experiences in an age-appropriate and respectful manner
- Adhere to all provincial licensing regulations and organizational policies.
Qualifications
* Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification in British Columbia
* Current First Aid & CPR Certification
* Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Positive, flexible, and collaborative attitude
* Comfort with and alignment to working within a Christian-based environment
Assets (Not Required)
* Experience in a preschool or licensed group care setting
* Additional certification (e.g., Special Needs or Infant/Toddler)
* Experience in or familiarity with faith-based early childhood education
