ON BEHALF OF NUCOR INSULATED PANEL GROUP

The Shipping & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a team across shipping, receiving, trim parts production, and yard operations to ensure materials and finished goods flow safely, accurately, and efficiently through the facility.

This role owns end-to-end logistics coordination, including inbound and outbound shipments, carrier management, imports/exports, and internal material flow. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who drives performance through people, establishes clear expectations, and ensures consistent execution across all areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team across shipping, receiving, yard, and trim operations
  • Build and reinforce a strong safety culture by leading safe work practices and addressing risks immediately
  • Drive daily execution to meet shipping schedules, production demands, and customer requirements
  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, including imports, exports, and carrier scheduling
  • Oversee trim parts production to ensure materials meet specifications and timelines
  • Manage yard operations, including material flow, staging, and inventory accuracy
  • Establish structure and accountability within the team through clear expectations, prioritization, and follow-through
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Partner cross-functionally with production, sales, and operations to ensure alignment and execution
  • Maintain strong relationships with carriers and ensure compliance with shipping and export requirements
  • Utilize ERP systems (D365 preferred) to manage workflows, track shipments, and support operational visibility

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • 3–5 years of shipping/logistics experience, including imports and exports
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and manage performance
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and shipping workflows
  • Knowledge of safe material-handling practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field
  • Experience in steel, construction products, or heavy industrial manufacturing
  • Experience with lean practices, 5S, and continuous improvement
  • Experience managing carrier relationships, export documentation, and compliance

Base Salary: $82,000 – $102,000 annually

Compensation is based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Nucor’s performance-based bonus programs, including Profit Sharing and ROA, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
