About The Role The scope of this position includes all activities necessary to produce quality concrete in the Grande Prairie, AB market.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Order taking and Logistics of Concrete Delivery.
  • To manage staff of Mixer Drivers.
  • The ability to use Command Concrete and produce quality concrete for customers.
  • Understanding the Amrize Product Line, including VAP’s (Value Added Products).
  • Understanding basic concrete needs of customers.
  • Interaction with QA Coordinator in optimization of mixes.
  • Interaction with AR/AP department in collection of accounts & COD’s.
  • Scheduling PM’s on Trucks and other heavy equipment.
  • Other duties that may arise to ensure a functional plant.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

What We’re Looking For Education: Grade 12 or Equivalent

Required Work Experience: Concrete Experience Preferred but not necessary

Required Training/Certifications: Class 3 w/air License Preferred but not necessary

Required Technical Skills: Concrete Certifications or Mechanical Aptitude as well as valid driver’s license, Class 3 w/air preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing (D/A, Fitness Testing, Criminal Record Check)
  • The ability to perform plant maintenance on a routine basis.
  • Work Experience will include troubleshooting, volume calculations for concrete, etc.
  • The incumbent will be a good communicator.
  • Must have initiative and good analytical skills.
  • Required to show safety leadership, by driving others to safety excellence.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
