Located in North Toronto, the Club consists of more than 4,000 members, with a strong presence in the local social and sporting community.

The Club is looking for a part-time Bartender to join our Food & Beverage department. This position will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring compliance with Club and Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) Rules and Regulations.

An Overview of Key Responsibilities

  • Mixing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages using an extensive range of ingredients, including liquor bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits
  • Assessing members preferences and making drink recommendations
  • Providing a positive and friendly member experience by interacting with members
  • Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all members
  • Cleaning the bar tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
  • Organizing the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
  • Complying with all food and beverage regulations
  • Monitoring member’s alcohol intake and deciding to limit service when required

Job Requirements:

  • Food Handler’s certification and Smart Serve certification required
  • Bartending certification an asset
  • 1-2 years of bartending and serving experience; experience in the private Club and or Hospitality industry an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to meet performance standards during very busy peak periods and maintain professionalism during stressful situations
  • Ability to work flexible hours & shifts: days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • High school or equivalent education required

The Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club is a private athletic and social club in North Toronto. The Club has a rich history dating back to the establishment of the Toronto Cricket Club in 1827 which merged with the Toronto Skating Club and the Toronto - Victoria Curling and Bowlin Club in 1957.

The Club offers a wide variety of athletics including Aquatics, Cricket, Croquet, Curling, Fitness, Lawn Bowling, Skating, Squash and Tennis with programs and facilities for all skill levels and ages. Along with our athletics, we offer a number of dining options that include bistro dining to a casual sports bar. We also offer options for our families with regular events around the club including pumpkin carving, family skating, recreational swimming and outdoor movie nights.
