Speech Language Pathologist
About the role
Job Description:
- Speech-Language Pathologist working as a member of a multidisciplinary team at an inclusive education school; supporting students with different communication needs;
- Responsibilities include: neurodiversity-affirming assessment and therapy (individual and group), and consultation with school-based team, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge and interest in the areas of AAC, GLP, sensory/regulation, SSD, literacy, and evidence-based language interventions;
- General caseload information: students in grades k-12 with individual education plans(modified or adapted curriculum), diagnoses may include autism, learning disability, intellectual disability, genetic syndrome
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Licensed with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (or conditional license based on passing licensing exam)
Job Specifics:
Days of work based on 10 month school calendar (September-June)
School days run 8:30-3:30 Monday-Thursday, 8:30-12:30 Friday (0.88 position if no Fridays)
