Business Analyst - Senior

This senior-level role focuses on connecting business strategy, technology, and operational improvement across complex initiatives. You will work with diverse business, technical, and executive stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. The position offers significant scope across strategic planning, governance, process modernization, and requirements management. You will help assess current and future operating models, identify improvement opportunities, and support informed decision-making. Success requires strong analytical thinking, facilitation skills, and the ability to navigate competing priorities and complex environments. This is a remote opportunity suited to an experienced Business Analyst who can operate confidently across both business and technology domains. \n Accountabilities: Provide senior-level business analysis services across complex information technology and business initiatives involving diverse stakeholders. Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, prioritization, and ongoing management of business, functional, non-functional, process, and data requirements. Facilitate requirements-gathering activities through interviews, workshops, focus groups, stakeholder consultations, and other structured techniques. Analyze complex business problems, opportunities, risks, and strategic objectives to develop practical recommendations and support effective decision-making. Conduct current-state and future-state assessments to identify opportunities for business process improvement, modernization, and operational transformation. Identify, analyze, document, monitor, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and associated mitigation strategies. Facilitate discussions between business, technical, and executive stakeholders, helping teams navigate competing priorities and reach well-informed decisions. Support governance and ensure deliverables align with applicable project management methodologies, enterprise architecture standards, system development practices, and project-gating requirements. Translate business needs into structured requirements and business models that can effectively guide technology and implementation teams. Use business modelling and productivity tools to document processes, requirements, analyses, presentations, and project deliverables. Requirements: Extensive experience providing business analysis services for complex IT and business initiatives with multiple business and technology stakeholders. Proven expertise in requirements engineering, including elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, prioritization, and management of business, functional, non-functional, process, and data requirements. Strong experience facilitating interviews, workshops, focus groups, stakeholder consultations, and requirements-gathering sessions. Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to assess complex business challenges and strategic objectives. Demonstrated experience performing current-state and future-state analysis and identifying opportunities for process improvement and service modernization. Strong experience managing project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and mitigation strategies. Ability to work effectively with senior business, technical, and executive stakeholders and facilitate productive discussions in complex or high-pressure environments. Strong understanding of governance, enterprise architecture, project management, and system development methodologies. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Experience with Azure DevOps and business modelling tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to different audiences. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, requirements, and stakeholder expectations. Benefits: Remote work: Fully remote opportunity based in Canada. Contract duration: Initial 6+ month engagement, equivalent to approximately 146 business days, with a potential additional 43-day extension. Incorporated rate: CAD $84.19–$101.03 per hour, depending on overall qualifications and fit. T4 rate: CAD $67.35–$80.82 per hour.
