This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Epic Instructional Designer based in Canada. This role offers the opportunity to design impactful learning experiences that support healthcare professionals through innovative digital training solutions. You will create and optimize training materials for electronic health record systems, helping users adopt complex workflows effectively. The position combines instructional design expertise, healthcare technology knowledge, and project coordination skills. You will collaborate with technical teams, subject matter experts, and operational stakeholders to deliver high-quality educational resources. Accountabilities As an Epic Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and improving training solutions that support healthcare technology users. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure learning content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with operational needs. Design, develop, and deliver Epic electronic health record (EHR) training materials, e-learning content, and instructional resources. Create and maintain structured curricula, user documentation, job aids, and supporting training materials. Build, configure, and test Epic training environments to ensure effective learning experiences. Collaborate with technical analysts, subject matter experts, and operational leaders to gather requirements and validate content. Manage assigned instructional design projects, timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Track training activities, requests, and project progress using learning management systems (LMS) and project tracking tools. Evaluate training effectiveness, analyze learner feedback, and recommend improvements to learning programs. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members while working independently on assigned initiatives. Requirements The ideal candidate has strong instructional design experience within healthcare technology environments, with hands-on knowledge of Epic systems and the ability to translate complex workflows into clear learning experiences. Required Epic Procedural Instructional Designer (ID) certification. Experience designing training programs and educational materials for Epic electronic health record systems. Hands-on experience with Optime and Anesthesia workflows. Familiarity with Epic modules such as Cupid, Radiant, and Lumens. Ability to create engaging instructional content, including e-learning modules, documentation, and job aids. Strong collaboration skills with technical teams, healthcare stakeholders, and subject matter experts. Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate training outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement. Benefits Competitive hourly compensation range of $40-$60 per hour.
