This role offers the opportunity to become a key technology partner in optimizing and expanding enterprise resource planning capabilities. The successful candidate will leverage deep Epicor ERP expertise to design scalable solutions, improve workflows, and support business transformation initiatives. Working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders, you will translate operational needs into effective ERP configurations and integrations. This position is ideal for an experienced ERP specialist who enjoys solving complex challenges and delivering measurable business value. You will contribute to system modernization efforts, data enablement initiatives, and process improvements within a collaborative consulting environment. Accountabilities The Epicor ERP Consultant (SME) will serve as a technical expert responsible for enhancing, configuring, and extending ERP capabilities to support business operations. This role requires strong expertise in Epicor architecture, integrations, workflows, and data solutions, combined with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams. Act as a subject matter expert for Epicor ERP, including its data model, architecture, and core functionality. Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Epicor integrations with APIs and external business systems. Build and enhance Business Activity Queries (BAQs), dashboards, and reports to support operational decision-making. Configure and improve workflows, Business Process Management (BPM) processes, and automation capabilities within the ERP environment. Support data extraction, integration, and analytics initiatives by enabling reliable access to ERP data. Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend scalable ERP solutions. Translate business needs into technical designs, configurations, and implementation approaches. Provide guidance on ERP best practices, system improvements, and long-term scalability. Support client-facing engagements by communicating technical recommendations clearly and effectively. Requirements The ideal candidate is an experienced Epicor ERP professional with strong technical knowledge and the ability to bridge business requirements with effective technology solutions. You should have hands-on experience with ERP configuration, integrations, and data-driven improvements in client environments. 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Epicor ERP, preferably Epicor Kinetic. Strong expertise in Epicor APIs, BAQs, BPMs, workflows, and system integrations. Solid understanding of Epicor data structures, architecture, and implementation best practices. Experience integrating ERP platforms with external systems such as CRM platforms or data warehouses. Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with clients and business stakeholders. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience. Experience with Azure Synapse or modern data warehouse architectures is considered an advantage. Background in analytics enablement or data engineering projects is a plus.
