We are seeking a high-energy, customer-centric Assistant Branch Director to lead our busy Windsor HVAC/R counter and wholesale showroom. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the daily walk-in business, ensuring local HVAC/R contractors receive fast, knowledgeable, and accurate service. You will partner with the Branch Director to supervise frontline staff, optimize product merchandising, and build a welcoming, high-performance culture that keeps contractors coming back. Key Responsibilities Counter Leadership: Direct daily counter operations, manage staff scheduling, and coach team members on active upselling and technical product identification. Contractor Relations: Act as the primary face of the branch for walk-in contractors, managing a high-volume order desk and resolving customer service issues on the spot. Merchandising & Sales: Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized showroom floor; execute seasonal product promotions to maximize impulse buys and margin growth. Inventory Coordination: Bridge the gap between the counter and the warehouse, ensuring stock levels reflect high-demand counter items and order discrepancies are eliminated. What you will accomplish with us: Master Core Operations: Become the expert on our HVAC/R product lines, internal POS systems, and daily walk-in contractor workflows. Optimize the Counter Experience: Take full ownership of frontline scheduling, team coaching, and high-margin showroom merchandising. Drive Profitability & Inventory: Boost branch margins through targeted team cross-selling and strategic stock alignment of high-demand parts. Cultivate Long-Term Leadership: Establish yourself as a trusted partner to local contractors and a key leader capable of running full branch operations. What You Bring to Our Team: Experience: 5+ years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced wholesale counter, or commercial parts environment (HVAC/R preferred). Customer Service Excellence: Proven ability to manage long lines, high call volumes, and demanding contractor clientele with patience and professionalism. Sales Savvy: Strong comfort level with counter merchandising, cross-selling complementary parts, and running point-of-sale (POS) systems. Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of HVAC/R systems, components, tools, and accessories is a major asset Compensation Information: Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually Supplemental Pay Types Include: Annual bonus The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and experience, in compliance with applicable regulations.
