We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Confocal & Microscopy Specialist to join our team. This role combines scientific expertise, technical product support, and consultative sales. The successful candidate will work closely with researchers, laboratory professionals, and other customers to understand their imaging needs, recommend suitable microscopy solutions, conduct product demonstrations, and prepare technical and price proposals. Key Responsibilities Meet with existing and prospective customers to understand their research, imaging applications, technical requirements, and budget. Recommend appropriate confocal microscopy systems, general microscopy products, accessories, software, and related solutions. Deliver professional product presentations and live demonstrations at customer sites, company facilities, exhibitions, and scientific events. Prepare quotations, technical proposals, product configurations, and tender documentation. Explain the technical features, applications, and benefits of microscopy solutions clearly and accurately. Support the complete sales process, from initial consultation and product selection through quotation, demonstration, follow-up, and order completion. Develop strong, long-term relationships with researchers, laboratory managers, purchasing departments, and other key stakeholders. Collaborate with sales, service, applications, and supplier teams to ensure that customers receive the right solution and a high level of support. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of microscopy technologies, imaging techniques, products, software, and market developments. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, quotations, demonstrations, and follow-up activities. Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and other scientific events. Travel to customer locations as required. Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Physics, Optics, Engineering, or a related scientific field. Practical experience with confocal microscopy is required. Broad understanding of light microscopy principles and techniques, such as fluorescence, widefield, transmitted-light, phase-contrast, and related imaging methods. Experience operating microscopy systems and image-acquisition or image-analysis software. Ability to understand scientific applications and translate customer requirements into suitable technical solutions. Customer-oriented approach with the ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities, quotations, demonstrations, and follow-up activities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with sales, technical, and service teams. Willingness and ability to travel regularly to customer sites.
