Dietitian – Independent Contractor Barnswallow Place Community, Elmira ON At Sienna Senior Living, our commitment to enhancing the daily lives of our residents extends far beyond clinical care. As a Dietitian, you will play a vital role in supporting our homes through expert nutritional leadership, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and meaningful engagement with residents — centered on cultivating happiness in daily life! We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to fill a key Dietitian role — someone who will serve as a trusted partner and advocate for resident well-being. In this role, you will plan, direct, and evaluate individualized nutrition care in close collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive assessments, reassessments, and evidence-based interventions. What You Will be Doing: * Develop specialized therapeutic menus, proactively identify and manage nutrition and hydration risks * Provide nutritional care including assessments, reassessments and develop appropriate nutrition interventions in consultation with the interdisciplinary team. * Provide meaningful education and counseling to residents and their families — ensuring each resident receives safe, personalized, and compassionate nutritional care that enhances dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Who You Are: * Completed Degree from an accredited Food and Nutrition university program. * Member of College of Dietitians of Ontario/British Columbia. * 2 years’ or more experience in a Long Term Care. * Knowledge of Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care dietary and nutrition regulations. * Knowledge of appropriate interventions in nutritional care for Long Term Care setting needs * Experience with dementia, dysphagia, tube feeding, weight management, wound treatment, diabetes, renal disease, food allergies and intolerances. Exigences

Candidates must hold a degree from an accredited Food and Nutrition university program and be a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario or British Columbia. A minimum of two years of experience in a long-term care setting and knowledge of relevant health regulations are required.
