NOTE: HYBRID work model, 3-days on-site in Toronto/week Type: 5-month contract (possibility of extension) Rate: $90-94/hr, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week SKILLS: 7+ years Full Stack Developer, .NET, .NET Core, C#, SQL, Python, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Oracle PL/SQL, T-SQL, Snowflake, AKS, DBT Data Build Tool, Jenkins Industry: Bank DESCRIPTION: Design and implement robust solutions for re-pointing C# .NET applications from Oracle to Snowflake, encompassing data access layer modernization and performance tuning for the new data platform. Execute the migration of Oracle database objects, including the transformation of Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures—which perform financial data transformations for reporting—into Snowflake stored procedures and dbt-based data transformation pipelines, addressing technical challenges to maintain data consistency and application compatibility. With supervision and code/design reviews by senior staff, responsible for the timely completion of high-quality, well-designed, and well-architected systems that make appropriate use of technology. Responsible for completion of an acceptable volume of work and for the communication of status of personal work plans and tasks required to design, develop, and test assigned portions of projects. Other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS: Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent working experience Sound knowledge of current information systems theories, concepts, and techniques Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills 7+ years of hands-on software design and development experience, including substantial expertise with the following: Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent coding agents .NET, .NET Core C#, SQL, Python Relational databases with specific experience in Oracle Experience migrating and modernizing legacy database logic (e.g., PL/SQL) to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake Multi-threading programming Knowledge of Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Key Vault Snowflake (including stored procedures, performance tuning, and data modeling) DBT (data build tool) for managing and orchestrating data transformation workflows CI/CD tools (CloudBees, Jenkins, UrbanCode, etc.) Demonstrated experience with large-scale, high-performance enterprise systems Experience developing financial reporting or data-driven enterprise applications NOTE: As part of our hiring process, we use AI‑based systems to support initial applicant screening.
