About This Team As a member of the product team, the Global Planning team is responsible for ensuring financial success of the company. They work closely with Merchandising to understand new product trends as well as members of the Retail and Operations teams to understand and respond business product needs. The team monitors the business on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, understanding changes in trend and reacting to the business to maximize sales and mitigate risk. The priority is to understand and protect the guest experience, followed by delivering profitable sales growth (comp and GM$s). Core Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, this position is responsible for category sales targets, gross margin, planned purchases, turn and open to buy management Partner with the Merchants on the development of pre-season sales, margin, receipt and inventory. Develop assortment plans to the category level by country by program. Develop projections and inventory flow for key items/collections Analyze and reflect current trends in performance of strategy based on actual sales performance; revise in-season plans for sales and profitability; control inventory levels. Make recommendations for key financial meetings/decisions to maximize sales, margin and inventory productivity. Monthly plan review process: develop sales, receipt and inventory re-forecasts. Manage receipts and adjust inventory flow Execute hind-sighting by analyzing historical data and presenting findings. Recap and analyze actual results on an on-going basis to understand core drivers; identify risks and opportunities and partner with cross-functional partners to respond appropriately. Provide ad-hoc analysis related to driving business goals (e.g. analyzing attribute trends, class mix) Exhibit initiative to look beyond the everyday business to look for opportunities to maximize sales potential. Provide other analysis related to driving business goals (e.g. hindsight’s, etc.) Actively engage in a variety of projects depending on business needs. Proactively seek out self-improvement opportunities Qualifications Four-year college degree or equivalent required 3-5 years proven experience with data analysis Previous experience with merchandise and planning systems. Compensation And Benefits Package lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $104,600 – 137,300 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
