Description: The Recreation Therapist II coordinates the day-to-day operations of their assigned area and provides clinical consultation to the Recreation Therapist I's and/or other members of the multi-disciplinary team. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement. Classification: Recreational Therapist II Union: COV HSAA PROF TECH Unit and Program: Recreation YH Primary Location: Youville Home Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 1.00 Posting End Date: 18-AUG-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temp F/T Benefits Date Available: 01-SEP-2026 Temporary End Date: 01-SEP-2027 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 4 Shifts per cycle: 20 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $43.14 Maximum Salary: $57.37 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Recreation Therapy, Leisure Studies, Recreation Administration or a related field is required. Registration with the Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) is required. Additional Required Qualifications: Two (2) years recent Recreation Therapy experience in continuing care or rehabilitation required. Strong assessment, care planning, and documentation skills. Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software. Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing clinical leadership, mentorship, or supervision. Experience with Connect Care, interRAI LTCF, electronic documentation, quality improvement, and recreation program development. Previous RAI coding experience. Demonstrated knowledge of person-centered care, dementia care, and adaptive recreation is an asset.

Exigences
A Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field and registration with the Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) are required. Candidates must have at least two years of recent experience in continuing care or rehabilitation.
