For a more in-depth understanding of our vision, core values and ongoing work, please see our academic plan TMU welcomes those who have demonstrated a commitment to upholding the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion and will assist us in realizing the benefits of embedding these values into the work at every level and in every unit of the university. In addition, to correct the conditions of disadvantage in employment in Canada and to bring lived experiences to the work, we encourage applications from members of equity deserving groups that have been historically disadvantaged and marginalized, including First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples in Canada, First Nations Peoples in the United States, racialized people, Black people, persons with disabilities, women, and 2SLGBTQ+ people. Preference will be given to candidates with lived experiences as people from equity deserving groups, as well as experience working with these communities with which the University works every day. Please note that all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply and we welcome newcomers and immigrants to Canada. About Organizational Effectiveness The Organizational Effectiveness team builds TMU’s organizational design capability and enables complex, enterprise-level transformation through a structured, collaborative and people-centred approach. Working in close partnership with leaders and cross-functional HR teams, we bring together organizational design, project and change management expertise to help align people, roles, operating models and service delivery with the University’s evolving priorities. Our work is grounded in consistent methodology, strong governance and practical solutions, and includes some of TMU’s largest and most complex transformation initiatives. The Opportunity Change is constant. The ability to navigate it well is what makes an organization resilient. As a Transformation Consultant, you'll help Toronto Metropolitan University navigate the complex journey of organizational change by turning strategic priorities and ambitious ideas into meaningful improvements that can be understood, adopted, and sustained across the University. Working as part of the Organizational Effectiveness portfolio, you'll contribute to the direction and delivery of transformation initiatives that help TMU adapt to an evolving environment while strengthening the employee and student experience. You'll bring together project management, change management, and organizational effectiveness practices to help teams move confidently from vision to implementation and, ultimately, to measurable impact. You'll develop clear, cohesive roadmaps that help teams understand where they're going, how they'll get there, and what success looks like along the way. Using innovative and agile project management approaches, you'll guide initiatives through design, development, and delivery while anticipating the organizational and human dimensions of change. Your role will be particularly important in helping people navigate transformation. You'll work across teams and organizational boundaries to build understanding, support adoption, identify barriers, and help ensure that new processes, practices, and ways of working become embedded rather than simply implemented. You'll bring an inclusive and thoughtful lens to your work, ensuring transformation initiatives reflect TMU's commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and an exceptional employee and client experience. You'll also help teams strengthen their ability to manage change effectively, building organizational capability that extends beyond individual projects. This is an opportunity to help TMU not simply respond to change, but become better equipped to embrace it. Your work will help the University turn transformation into lasting improvement by creating clearer ways of working, stronger experiences, and an organization ready to adapt to what comes next. If you're energized by complexity, enjoy bringing people and ideas together, and are passionate about helping organizations successfully navigate change, this is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping TMU's transformation journey.
