Youth and Family Practitioner Journeys Friday – Monday 3pm-11pm (32 hours/week) ENVIROS – Who We Are Enviros is an innovative social services agency that provides critical, individualized programs to children, youth, adults, and families in vulnerable situations to meet their desired outcomes and wellness. Why People Choose Enviros Simply Stated, our vision is, “Reimagined lives, fulfilling potential and thriving in community.” The Program – Journeys The Journeys Program is a six bed Live-In Program for youth ages 12 to 17 years who have status with Children’s Services. Journeys offers a recreation, life skills and relationship-based program, with an average stay of 6-12 months. The intention of the youth’s stay is to collaborate with the youth and their supports to identify strengths and areas of growth where resourcing and skill development can be done with the aim of supporting the youth’s successful transition back to their family (parental or kinship setting) wherever possible, or into a less intrusive placement where indicated by the case plan. The programming at Journeys focuses on cultivating each youth’s sense of self-worth and helps each youth identify, establish, and maintain healthy relationships with their supports to allow for successful and stable transitions. The Journeys Program provides youth with a safe and nurturing environment; individualized care plans; educational and recreational activities; and the development of daily routines. The development of strong positive relationships is a key component of the overall success of the Journeys Program. The Position – Youth and Family Practitioner This 0.8 position will be based at Journeys and will include direct involvement and support of the program and youth. Hours of work: 3pm – 11pm Friday – Monday, with mandatory trainings and staff meetings outside of rotation. Responsibilities Build and develop therapeutic relationship with youth to provide effective support with daily living and to work through potentially challenging situations/behaviors. Using a trauma informed and culturally aware approach to create a physically and emotionally safe environment that supports program objectives. Actively engage youth with their sleep hygiene routines providing support and structure to youth in the program Administrative responsibilities to support the Key Workers which may include but is not limited to, developing case plans/ safety plans, supporting family connection and development of natural supports, attending appointments and meetings, collaborating with teams to work towards identified goals, creating individualized programming to meet the needs of youth. Provide crisis intervention and support Help ensure all accreditation standards are upkept and met Attend and contribute to regular staff meetings Support household health and safety standards and overall housekeeping duties including but not limited to, cooking, cleaning, errands Competencies Strong communication skills Strong youth engagement skills Strong crisis management skills Strong collaboration skills Able to adapt to changing situations Education & Experience Diploma/ Undergraduate Degree in a Human Services related field Experience with trauma informed, cultural awareness and strength-based practice Experience working in group care programs is an asset CPR and first aid certification Other Qualifications Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 5 GDL will not be accepted) A clean driver’s abstract containing not more than two (2) minor offences or one (1) major offence Police Record Check with Vulnerable sector check (within six (6) months) Child Intervention Check (within one (1) year) How to Apply: (please apply directly through link, copy and paste URL if needed) https://enviros.sagehcm.com/jobs/332/1/#163/apply Enviros believes in the power of diversity and we are dedicated to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment. Exigences

Requires a diploma or undergraduate degree in Human Services and experience with trauma-informed and strength-based practices. Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and pass comprehensive criminal and child intervention background checks.
