Safetech Scaffold Ltd. is currently seeking committed individuals for the position of SCAFFOLD FOREPERSON to join our growing team of project leaders. We have a great team of people working within a safety conscious environment, with jobs spanning the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island (and occasionally other locations in the province). Job requirements:

• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and value teamwork
• Be a dedicated self-starter, taking pride in their accomplishments
• Maintain excellent communication skills while interacting with customers and management
• Ensure health and safety protocols are followed, at all times
• Be able to work efficiently and maintain an organized method
• Present effective problem-solving abilities
• Provide own CSA approved steel-toed boots and a hard hat

Job duties:

• Able to read drawings and build scaffold accordingly
• Create comprehensive equipment lists, as necessary
• Meet timelines set by customers and management
• Complete all paperwork required on a daily basis
• Confidently train and mentor apprentices
• Perform other duties, as needed

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years verifiable experience in scaffolding (references required)
• Minimum 1+ years verifiable experience as a foreman (references required)
• Relevant credentials necessary (scaffold ticket/experience)
• Fall protection certification (required)
• Valid class 5 driver's license with clean abstract (preferred)
• First Aid certification (an asset, not required)

Working Conditions:

• This is moderately strenuous work. Scaffolders must be capable of performing repetitive tasks and may require extended periods of standing, crouching, crawling, or kneeling.
• There may be potential exposure to high noise levels and hazards associated with job sites.
• Must be willing and able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, year-round.
