Position Responsibilities
Join our collaborative team of passionate educators who are dedicated to preparing excellent teachers.
The School of Arts and Education invites applications for full-time, Continuous Appointment (Probationary) instructor in the Bachelor of Education program.
Building on your successful K-12 teaching experience, you will teach a variety of courses across the four-year degree program which includes Early Years, Middle Years, and Secondary specializations.
Applicants are encouraged to refer to the program academic planning guide and identify EDUC courses in the Bachelor of Education program they would be qualified to teach, as well as their experience at various grade levels.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Education with a minimum of five (5) years successful K-12 teaching experience

Master of Education or related graduate degree
Preferred Qualifications
Combination of:
-
Doctorate in Education or a related field
-
Evidence of scholarly work
-
Excellent pedagogy, instructional design, and assessment practices
-
Foundational knowledge of curriculum, including the new Alberta curriculum framework
-
Experience supporting diverse learner needs
-
Understanding of Indigenous worldviews
-
School-based mentorship and/or leadership experience
-
Proficiency with educational technologies, including Google Workspace for Education and BrightSpace
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-
Experience teaching adult learners, in-person and online, especially in post-secondary
