About the role

Our client, a growing group composed of three companies specializing in electrical work and industrial automation, is looking for an accounting technician to support its financial activities. In this role, you will be expected to work flexibly on various assignments covering the accounting needs of the entire group. Your organizational skills and ability to adapt quickly will be key assets in a dynamic and expanding environment.
Under the supervision of the Finance and Administration department, the accounting technician must ensure the complete processing of accounts payable and receivable while maintaining accuracy and smoothness in accounting operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable.
- Verifying, entering, filing, and archiving accounting documents.
- Reporting discrepancies and participating in the continuous improvement of processes.
- Monitoring cash receipts, performing reconciliations, and following up with clients.
- Managing collection files with diplomacy.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closings.
- Preparing, balancing, and recording CCQ payroll entries.
- Producing statements (T4, R1, RE, DAS).
- Handling deductions (pension, insurance, FTQ, RVER).

What are the benefits of this position?

Requirements:
- DEC in accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll).
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting software (CMEQ, an asset).
- Experience with CCQ payroll.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is preferred, both oral and written, as you will frequently communicate with English-speaking clients (30% of the time).
- Customer service aptitude and ability to collaborate across teams.
Salary: Between $70,000 and $85,000 per year. Schedule: Daytime hours. Status: Permanent.
