Responsibilities

Make sure the shipments that are going out are going to the right destination

Perform physical inventory regularly to ensure all stock levels are accurate on the system

Decide what the best way to ship something (ground, air, etc.)

Prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents

Assemble containers and crates in the Parts area: keep it clean and organized

Inspect packages when they arrive and make sure there is no damage… if there is, make arrangements to send it back and get a new order

Pack goods to be shipped and unpack goods received

Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents (we want to make sure we received the right stuff)

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting (up to 50lbs)

Keeps their work area very clean and organized

Reacts quickly to getting a task done; has a strong sense of urgency

Excellent listening and communication skills

Ability to work individually and as part of a team

Must be comfortable using a computer and email
