About the role
Position: Recruitment Business Partner
Type: Fulltime Permanent
Location: Edmonton, AB
Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 / annually

Position Overview:
The Recruiter Business Partner achieves staffing objectives by partnering with managers across both Canada and the United States on their hiring needs, recruiting and evaluating candidates, attending job fairs and other recruiting events, drafting job postings and announcements, and providing guidance to managers throughout the hiring process.
Job Duties:
- Partners with hiring managers across Canada and the United States to understand staffing needs and develop effective hiring strategies
- Leads full-cycle recruitment across both countries, from sourcing through offer stage
- Attracts and sources candidates through job postings, events, and passive outreach through various recruitment tools such as LinkedIn and Indeed
- Builds and maintains talent pipelines through relationships with trade schools, agencies, and online platforms across North America
- Screens, interviews, and assesses candidates against role requirements and business needs
- Coordinates and schedules interviews across multiple regions and time zones
- Prepares and delivers offer letters in alignment with country-specific requirements
- Ensures compliance with Canadian and U.S. employment legislation and advises managers on best practices
- Manages the applicant tracking system and provides regular updates and hiring recommendations to stakeholders
- Supports onboarding, new hire integration, and post-hire follow-up to drive retention
- Stays current on market trends and continuously improves recruitment strategies, employer branding, and candidate experience
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience
- Human Resource diploma or equivalent
- Experience with a large applicant tracking system; DayForce preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective negotiation abilities
- Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies for a variety of roles
- Proactive and self-directed with the ability to take initiative
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices related to recruitment, with the ability to learn cross-border requirements
- Proficient with, or able to quickly learn, applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools
