Job Summary and Requirements
This posting
This posting will be used to fill two (2) term full-time positions working 75 hours bi-weekly. One term will be from June 23, 2026 to January 6, 2028 and the other will be from August 28, 2026 to January 10, 2028. It will establish a 6-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.
This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.

This opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Therapeutic and Behavioural Care Services, this position is responsible for planning, leading, implementing and evaluating the delivery and operation of therapeutic services within Continuing Care long-term care homes. This position may carry a clinical load in the incumbent’s trained discipline, and will also supervises Recreation Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Registered Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Coordinators of Volunteer Services, Spiritual Care Providers, Rehabilitation Assistants and Recreation Therapy Assistants or Therapy Assistants.

Essential qualifications

Registered with a Canadian regulatory body as a Recreation Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Physiotherapist or Registered Dietitian

Experience providing supervision to direct care staff within a multi-disciplinary team setting

Experience in planning, leading, implementing and evaluating the delivery and operation of therapeutic services and/or life enrichment services
-
Experience providing leadership and person-centered care in a long-term care setting is an asset
