Sobeys has an exciting opportunity for a Pilot (PIC) based out of Halifax International Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for overall flight dispatch and will ensure full compliance with aviation regulations, company policies, and international standards.

Here’s what you’ll be focusing:

• Serve as Captain in a complex, high-tempo flight operation
• Engage closely with passengers, requiring strong interpersonal skills
• Collaborate with a small team of highly skilled aviation professionals
• Operate flights into unfamiliar airports
• Work non-routine and irregular hours, including on-call duty for company executives
• Participate in ongoing education and training exercises
• Actively contribute to the Safety Management System
• Manage flight planning and logistics
• Ensure aircraft operation complies with all applicable rules and regulations
• Maintain full proficiency in emergency procedures

What you should have:

• Airline Transport Pilot License
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restriction
• Pilot license, medical, rating, and language requirements as per ICAO Annex 1
• Demonstrated experience and commitment to:
• Safety Management Programs
• Standard Operating Procedures
• Crew Resource Management
• Clean accident history
• Exceptional interpersonal and service-oriented mindset
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Minimum of 5,000 total multi-engine flying hour
