As an Occ Program Coordinator you will provide opportunity and support for the healthy social development of children, youth and families who have limited access to resources and services, in order that they grow to reach their full potential.
Through ensuring barrier free access to critical supports and services, you will develop and deliver specific programs targeting prevention initiatives and identify pathways to additional community supports and ROCK services.

The ROLE
As an OCC Program Coordinator, you will Act as a role model and facilitate client physical, emotional, and intellectual growth and development, develop an understanding of the unique needs in each of the ROCK Hub communities and implement best practices for reducing barriers to participation. You will ensure program goals map onto Ministry Guidelines for Targeted Prevention outcomes, Coordinate and facilitate service offerings for children/youth and families in alignment with the Targeted Prevention Standards.
You will Establish partnerships and work collaboratively with various ROCK and community services to create a central Hub of offerings, provide both group and one to one support for clients as required. You will Participate in the development of a marketing and social media strategy. You will also Facilitate client registration processes and maintain client records through ROCK’s client database and ensure programs and services are evaluated on a regular basis. You will Facilitate data collection, including program statistics for the purpose of required reporting, and/or research and Supervise placement students.
Who we’re looking for:

Preference for a College diploma in Child and Youth work or related field
-
A minimum of 1 year experience working in a community-based environment and with providing groups/workshops/education to children, youth and/or families preferred.

Demonstrated experience in group prevention implementation and development.

Strong time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced work environment are essential

Ability to work both independently and as part of a treatment team

Proficient in the use of technology and working in a virtual environment; MAC OS operating systems; strong MS Word and Excel competencies are essential; expertise in the use of PowerPoint is an asset

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Valid Ontario License, access to use of a reliable vehicle, and proof of valid insurance, with 2 million dollars of liability coverage
