Effective Date: Secondary – July 6, 2026, to July 17, 2026, 8:15 – 12:45 (Instructional time is 8:30 – 12:30)
Please Note: The assignment in July may not be identical to the assignment in this posted position. Summer school programs are contingent upon student enrolment. If, on or around June 26, 2026, there are insufficient class numbers for this assignment the course will be cancelled and the teaching contract will be rescinded. Teachers will be paid in accordance with the Collective Agreement (Article B.29). By accepting this assignment, teachers do not receive experience or earn seniority or aggregate months of service towards conversions to a continuing contract (B Status).
Deadline for Applications: April 27, 2026 - 12:00 p.m.

**Posting****Description: **** **One position for a TTOC and First Aid Attendant is required for the Summer Learning program, July 6-17, 2026. There are a variety of courses ranging from Grade 1 – Grade 12, and all programs can be viewed in the program catalogue on the Chilliwack School District website- Summer Learning.
**Required Abilities, Qualifications and Experience: **
- extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching all areas of this assignment
- knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Education's current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment
- current Level Two First Aid Training
- successful experience in teaching prior Summer Learning courses would be an asset
- currently providing direct instruction and support to students in the required assignment area
- ability to design and implement a variety of assessment practices in order to measure and monitor student progress effectively
- evidence of personal initiative and strong work ethic with a proven ability to work collaboratively as an effective team member
- understanding of and the ability to implement the Big Ideas from the Core Competencies for the assigned area
- demonstrated the ability to use a variety of teaching strategies to engage all students
- provide regular monitoring on student progress and demonstrate proven ability in involving parents as partners
- willingness to provide recommendations to schools about student achievement at the end of the course
- demonstrated the ability to motivate and engage at-risk students
- demonstrated strong classroom management skills
