Description: Industrial Education Teacher (Metalwork) - Grades 10-12
Location : Mount Baker Secondary School, Cranbrook, BC
Contract Type : Full-time Continuing (1.0 FTE)
Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $70,392 to $116,611, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Relocation Expenses: Where an employment candidate must relocate from another community, province, country, etc. in order to accept this position, we can offer a moving allowance of up to $5,000.
Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).
-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.
-Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting.
Job Summary:
Industrial Education Teacher (Metalwork & Art Metal) - Grades 10-12
1.0 FTE continuing contract, starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process.
Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience at the Intermediate level. Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Metalwork. Must have a Red Seal in an applicable area, or a Diploma in the Technology Teacher Education Program, or the equivalent.
This position is tentatively scheduled to include Metalwork 10, 11, 12 and Art Metal 11/12. Please note that all work will be on site.
