R.W. Tomlinson is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Water Truck Driver to support dust suppression and site cleaning operations at facilities, materials sites, and construction sites. The successful candidate will operate a water truck to control dust, clean site surfaces, and assist with general site maintenance.

**Position Type:**Seasonal / Full-Time
Season Duration: Present day to October 31
Hours of Work: 6:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Flexible hours may be required)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a water truck for dust suppression, road wetting, and general site cleaning

• Safely fill and refill the water truck from approved water sources

• Operate a manual transmission vehicle

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation

• Maintain safe driving practices in active work zones and around pedestrians and equipment

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and site staff

• Monitor water usage and manage time efficiently to meet daily operational needs

• Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or operational delays promptly

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Ontario DZ Driver’s Licence (required)

• Experience operating manual transmission trucks

• Demonstrated ability to safely operate and fill a water truck

• Knowledge of city roads and routes is required

• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

• Previous experience in dust suppression, construction, landfill, or materials site operations is an asset

• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with regulations

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physically able to perform duties associated with the role

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions

• Operation in active construction, facilities, and materials site environments

• Seasonal employment from present day to October 31

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The expected salary range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00 hourly. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
