The** Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese ** (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. Our schools are located throughout the Greater Vancouver Area, near the best sites and attractions that Vancouver and British Columbia has to offer. Our footprint extends over 250 kilometers from Powell River in the west to Chilliwack in the east.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Shared Teaching Position (K- 7) – St. Bernadette’s School & St. Catherine’s School St. Bernadette’s School andSt. Catherine’s School are vibrant Catholic learning communities committed to academic excellence, faith formation, and the holistic development of each student. We are seeking a passionate and faith-filled educator to join our collaborative team for a full-time position across both schools. French Teacher 60% (St. Bernadette’s School) and French Teacher 40% (St. Catherine’s School). The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to Catholic education, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to support diverse learners while fostering a love of language and culture. - Deliver engaging and effective Core French instruction (K – 7) - Utilize or demonstrate willingness to learn the AIM (Accelerative Integrated Methodology) program - Foster a positive, immersive language-learning environment - Support students in developing confidence in oral and written French communication Qualifications & Skills - Demonstrated commitment to Catholic faith and values - Valid British Columbia teaching certification - Experience or interest in AIM French instruction - Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills - Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families Interested candidates are invited to send a cover letter and resume to Mrs. Julie Lee (jlee@cisva.bc.ca) or Mr. Jeff Brophy (jbrophy@stcatherines.ca). On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply.
