Dias is a world leader in deploying solutions to help explore, map, and protect the subsurface. We operate globally from our home in Saskatoon with Canadian offices in Toronto and Vancouver, and international offices in Australia, Mexico, and Chile.
We are seeking a Project Manager with experience in geophysical project delivery to join our Operations Team. This role is primarily office‑based but will require periodic travel for field visits, training, and project oversight.
Executive summary
The ideal candidate combines technical literacy in geophysical survey operations with disciplined project execution, strong communication, and structured ownership of the full project lifecycle- from costing and preparation through implementation and wrap‑up. This role requires a safety‑first mindset, the ability to coordinate field teams in dynamic environments, and the organizational discipline to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Primary Responsibilities
- Project Costing & Scope Alignment: Develop project budgets, review client requirements, and ensure alignment between scope, resources, and operational feasibility.
- Project Preparation & Planning: Work closely with our HSE, logistics, warehouse and HR teams to ensure operational alignment and readiness during the pre-mobilization phase.
- Field Implementation Oversight: Support and guide field crews during mobilization and execution phases, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project plans. Ensure projects stay within scope and on budget.
- Operational Coordination: Work closely with operations, technical, and leadership teams to maintain project momentum, resolve issues, and support decision‑making.
- Project Wrap‑Up & Closeout: Coordinate demobilization, documentation, lessons learned, and internal handoff for data processing and modelling teams.
- Client Communication: Maintain clear, professional communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Safety Leadership: Champion Dias’s safety culture, ensuring all project activities meet or exceed internal and regulatory safety standards.
- Training: Work with HSE, technical and operations teams to identify and develop training and professional development opportunities.
R****equirements
- Undergraduate degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Project Management training (PMP designation) considered a strong asset.
- Experience managing geophysical field teams or similar teams in a mineral exploration environment.
- Strong safety track record with demonstrated commitment to safe field operations.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel for field visits and training as required (up to several weeks at a time).
- Primarily office‑based role located in Vancouver, BC or Saskatoon, SK.
- Well‑rounded field‑based skill set with understanding of geophysical survey operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, Teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to remain flexible in rapidly changing operational environments.
