Your Daily Contribution & Impact:
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, we are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive PBE Technical Representative to support our growing customer base of collision repair facilities, body shops, and automotive refinishing professionals. This role combines technical expertise, field support, and relationship management to ensure customers achieve optimal results using our products and systems. This successful candidate would ideally reside in NS/NB.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to automotive body shops and refinish technicians
- Train customers on product application, paint systems, surface preparation, and troubleshooting techniques
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to coatings performance, color matching, adhesion, and finish quality
- Conduct product demonstrations and hands-on training sessions
- Support sales teams by delivering technical presentations and product recommendations
- Assist in new product launches and field testing
- Maintain detailed reports on customer visits, issues, and resolutions
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Build strong relationships with customers to promote brand loyalty and retention
Expertise & Essential Skills:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive refinishing, collision repair, or paint systems
- Strong understanding of automotive coatings, spray equipment, and application processes
- Experience with major refinish systems (e.g., waterborne, solvent-based coatings)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from recognized industry programs (e.g., I-CAR, OEM certifications)
- Previous experience in a technical support or field service role
- Familiarity with color matching tools and digital paint systems
- Bilingual (English/French or other languages) is an asset
