About the role
Purpose:
The Event Operations Representative provides support for varsity games and competitions, annual and special events, and other events in the department of Athletics and Recreation under the direction of the Manager, Event and Client Operations.
Education:
Completion of a High School diploma. First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year event operations experience required.
Skills:
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to exercise judgement and decision making.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams).Ability to provide instruction and support others in developing knowledge or skills.
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Knowledge of sports equipment and setups (nets, scoreboards, line markings, etc).
Knowledge of Ontario University Athletics and University Sports event operations standards.
Additional Notes:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
