About the role
Summary of Duties:
-
Construction and repair of cabinets and furniture;
-
Construction of studs and drywall;
-
Installation of acoustic T-Bar ceilings;
-
Installation and repair of all types of hardware;
-
Carry out repairs to floors, corlon and vinyl tiles, etc;
-
Prepare and lay out own material;
-
Carry out other carpentry duties as assigned;

Coverage at other campuses as required
Qualifications/Skills:
- Secondary school completion, and completion of a recognized Trade and Apprenticeship program;
- Must have valid Province of Ontario Certificate of Qualification in Carpentry;
- Significant recent related experience as a carpenter required, ideally in a hospital/healthcare setting;
- Locksmith qualifications and skills are desirable
- Maintenance experience essential;
- Ability to communicate effectively;
- Blueprint reading an asset;
- Ability to work on own initiative.
