Job Overview

This is a full-time seasonal (Temporary) opportunity running from June 15, 2026, to September 4, 2026. Core hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Hourly wage: $17.60–$20.00, depending on role and qualifications/experience.

Reporting to the Camp Director, Summer Camp Culinary Instructor / Counsellor is responsible for the Culinary camp operations, including:

• Supervise children participating in daily culinary camp activities in a safe and engaging environment.
• Lead age-appropriate cooking, baking, and food preparation sessions.
• Prepare ingredients, recipes, and equipment before each camp session.
• Teach basic kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling practices.
• Support campers in following recipes, measuring ingredients, and teamwork.
• Ensure all kitchen and camp areas remain clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Assist with games, themed activities, and non-cooking camp programming as required.
• Follow all health & safety, emergency, and Club policies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in camps, recreation, childcare, or education.
• Passion for cooking, baking, and teaching young learners.
• Basic food preparation or kitchen experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Energetic, patient, and positive attitude.
• Ability to supervise groups of children in a fast-paced environment.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
• Food Handler Certification is an asset.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
