What can you expect?
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Bowring Marsh. This role will be based in Hamilton, Bermuda. This position is on-site on a full-time basis. The FINPRO Broker is responsible for the daily service of a portfolio of major US-based clients within the FINPRO & Cyber division. The Broker provides service & advice associated with placements made or delivered to clients and is involved in negotiations with the Bermuda markets to obtain the best terms, conditions, coverage, and pricing for a client
We will count on you to: - Handle placements of Directors & Officers Liability (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Cyber, Errors & Omissions/Professional Liability (E&O/BPL), Fiduciary and Wage and Hour (W&H), into the Bermuda market for major global clients - Understand client needs, including assessing & developing solutions to complex risk situations. Benchmark and analyze data to develop client solutions and to facilitate business growth. Identify and develop new sources of business. - Analyze client exposures and prepare high-quality submissions to provide to underwriters. Strategize and coordinate with other Marsh offices globally. Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers throughout changing risk and insurance market conditions to support effective negotiations. Utilize technical skills to manage policy review and delivery to clients. - Work as an experienced member of a team and act as a role model for junior colleagues - Operate with a high degree of personal responsibility and accountability - Handle face-to-face negotiations and present and/or take on public speaking roles, as required What you need to have: - 10+ years insurance broking experience, or relevant alternative, within both the FINPRO sector in Bermuda or the International insurance market. - A high level of technical expertise in policy forms related to the following lines of coverage: D&O, EPL, Cyber, E&O/BPL, Fiduciary, W&H - Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook - Proven experience to independently handle complex client assignments operating with a high degree of personal responsibility and accountability - Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload and manage such during busy periods - A willingness and ability to work beyond normal office hours to meet tight deadlines - Superior technical, financial, and interpersonal skills, specifically regarding written and verbal communication and presentation - An understanding of negotiating techniques & ability to apply these in discussions with insurers and clients while demonstrating awareness of current market conditions What makes you stand out: - Bachelor’s degree (or significant industry experience in lieu) with relevant industry qualifications - High sense of personal accountability, self-motivation and ability to work on their own initiative.
