Job Summary
The Laundry Attendant (Part‑Time) is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the hotel laundry, ensuring that all guest room and Food & Beverage linens are cleaned, prepared, and maintained according to Hyatt brand standards, health and safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
Compensation
- Starting wage: CA$21.23/hour during probation
- After probation: CA$26.54/hour
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of cleaning or laundry experience in a hotel or related industry preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to perform physical duties including standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Wash, dry, and prepare required par stock of linens for guest rooms and Food & Beverage departments
- Ensure bath and bed linens meet Hyatt standards for cleanliness, texture, and appearance
- Fold, count, and record quantities of linen processed daily
- Maintain accurate records of daily productivity
- Sort linens and operate laundry equipment in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry work area
- Follow all health, safety, and WHMIS guidelines
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or linen issues to supervision
- Use hotel equipment responsibly and maintain tools in good working condition
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Working Conditions
- Part‑time hours scheduled based on operational needs
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Hours of work, overtime (if applicable), and breaks are scheduled in accordance with the Ontario ESA
