Job Summary and Requirements
This posting is for one (1) causal position, working up to 75 hours bi-weekly until November, 2026. This competition may be used to fill additional vacancies that arise throughout the 2026 season.

About the branch:
The Wildland Fire Management (WFM) branch contributes to the protection of people, property and the development of sustainable, fire resilient Yukon communities and infrastructure. WFM directly maintains and oversees the safe training and operational practices, and values natural ecological processes to ensure operational efficiency within the territory.
About the job:
Within the Business Services Unit, the Accounting Clerk works as part of a team supporting the Wildland Fire Management Branch during high demand periods of active fire response and increased operational demands. The position is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, while maintaining appropriate internal accounting controls.

Essential Qualifications:
Please submit your resume demonstrating clearly how you meet the following qualifications. Please note that selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Experience in the accounting field performing accounts receivable, accounts payable and reconciliation functions
- Experience using financial software programs
- Experience in the application of applicable policies, procedures and guidelines
- Coursework in Business Administration or a related discipline would be considered an asset
- Experience working in an emergency response organization with fast-paced demands would be considered an asset
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
