THE ROLE The Application Specialist I provides technical and sales support to customers by preparing quotations, processing orders, recommending products, and resolving customer inquiries. Working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, this role helps ensure a high level of service while supporting sales growth, accurate order management, and successful project execution Duties & Responsibilities Prepare, review, and follow up on customer quotations Provide technical support, product recommendations, costing, and proposal development Translate customer requirements into accurate product and solution recommendations Process customer orders and monitor order status through completion Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution Communicate with customers by phone and email regarding products, orders, and technical inquiries Troubleshoot customer issues and work with internal teams and manufacturers to resolve concerns Deliver after sales support to ensure customer satisfaction Support business growth by identifying opportunities and strengthening customer relationships Prepare proposals based on customer requirements, market conditions, and product offerings Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quotes, orders, and projects Compile and organize vendor documentation for customer projects Support collections and payment follow up activities in partnership with the Accounting team Follow established sales processes, systems, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency Requirements QUALIFICATIONS College diploma in a related field 3 to 6 years of experience in a technical sales, customer service, Inside sales, or related role Proficiency with order entry and quoting systems (Epicor P21 or similar) Understanding of customer service principles and best practices Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong organizational and customer service skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Desirable Bilingual (English and French) WORK ENVIRONMENT Fast-paced environment in a dynamic competitive industry Daily customer and inter-departmental/branch communication via telephone calls, faxes, emails, and virtual meetings Exposure to deadlines, multiple demands and priorities, multi-tasking, and interruptions Benefits Canadian founded and owned, John Brooks Company has doubled in size in the last 7 years to over 200 employees across the country.
