Location: Mississauga, ON, Canada (onsite) Salary Range: $20-$23 per hour Vacancy Type: Co-op Position Schedule: Full-time, Day shift Relocation: Not Applicable Travel: Minimal As our next Finance Co-op Student, you’ll be at the forefront of supporting key financial operations, including financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and costing activities. Working closely with experienced finance professionals, you will gain hands-on experience while contributing to projects that help drive informed business decisions and operational success. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, and passion for finance will be instrumental in supporting our team and enhancing financial performance across the organization. This co-op opportunity is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build practical experience and develop a strong foundation in corporate finance. What You’ll Be Doing: Assist in financial data entry, recording transactions, and maintaining financial records in accounting software or spreadsheets. Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and ratio analysis, to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement. Help with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data, updating models, and preparing reports for budget meetings. Assist in preparing, maintaining, validating, and updating standard costing information, including supporting the annual standard cost roll and periodic cost updates. Support inventory-related activities, including physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and analysis of inventory or costing variances. Support the finance team with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and insights. Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and procedures. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information, adhering to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards. Perform other duties as assigned by the finance team. What We’re Looking For: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/ diploma in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field. Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles; interest in cost accounting and manufacturing finance is an asset. Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy and comfortable to handle large sets of numerical data. Good Excel skills and comfort working with spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis. Good knowledge on PowerBI is a plus. Quick learner who is self-motivated, organized, and willing to take initiative. Independent thinker interested in taking initiative; self-started and self-motivated.
