The Human Resources Advisor, South Western Ontario must perform a range of duties supporting divisional managers and HR staff. The duties consist of payroll, safety, policies, training, labour relations, relocation, diversity, education, recruiting and other HR programs. Provide resolutions and consulting in the above areas to ensure profitable business operations. Key Responsibilities: Communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations to internal stakeholders. Ensure HR policies remain current and compliant with labor laws; advise management on interpretation and application. Facilitate onboarding for new hires and maintain up-to-date job descriptions. Support managers in performance reviews, including goal setting, feedback, and disciplinary actions; monitor probation and annual review completion. Conduct investigations into employee relations issues (e.g., complaints, harassment allegations). Act as representative for unemployment claims, leaves of absence, retirement, and medical leaves. Manage compensation and benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and annual open enrollment; educate employees on benefit options and assist with claims. Oversee the HRIS (ADP) integrity and accuracy: o Enter and update employee data confidentially. o Generate reports and analytics on key HR metrics (turnover, headcount, benefits utilization). o Serve as system administrator for user access and troubleshooting. Conduct exit interviews, stay interviews, and post-hire surveys; provide analysis and recommendations to management. Provide general HR assistance internally and externally. Manage the company's Health and Safety program and support the Joint Health & Safety Committee. Complete other duties and projects as assigned. Essential Skills: JHSC Certification with proven knowledge of JHSC leadership Demonstrated knowledge of employment law Ability to conduct sensitive investigations Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Highly organized with excellent attention to detail Good initiative and able to work with minimum supervision Able to multitask and manage competing priorities Confident and proactive in liaising with people at all levels and working as part of a team Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience: College or University degree (HR or related field) 3-5 years of proven HR Generalist experience with a focus on Employee Relations.
