LICENSED ARCHITECTProject-Based Contract | Toronto, Ontario JussConstruct Prefab Solutions is seeking a Licensed Architect based in Toronto/GTA to join our professional team on a project-by-project basis. We specialize in prefabricated, modular and innovative multi-residential building solutions, and we are currently expanding our professional network to support upcoming residential and multi-unit developments. We are looking for an architect who can work collaboratively with JussConstruct's design and prefab team and provide professional architectural services for projects requiring architectural drawings, permit documentation and coordination with municipal and engineering requirements. THE OPPORTUNITY This is a project-based contract position, not a salaried position. The successful architect will be engaged on individual JussConstruct projects and will work alongside our internal design team, structural professionals, developers and other project consultants as required. Compensation $5,000 CAD per project / architectural drawing package Project-specific scope, deliverables and professional responsibilities will be confirmed before each engagement. Additional compensation may be negotiated for projects requiring substantially expanded architectural services beyond the agreed drawing package. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and/or review professional architectural drawings for multi-residential projects. Develop permit-ready architectural documentation within the agreed project scope. Review JussConstruct design concepts and translate them into appropriate architectural documentation. Coordinate architectural requirements with JussConstruct's prefabricated structural systems. Coordinate with structural engineers and other professional consultants. Assist with zoning and building-code considerations applicable to the architectural scope. Review project drawings for consistency, constructability and permit requirements. Provide professional architectural input throughout the design-development process. Participate in project discussions with JussConstruct and the developer when required. Support responses to architectural comments or revisions arising during the permit process, where included in the project scope. Apply professional architectural judgment and provide professional authentication/sealing where legally required and within the architect's scope of responsibility. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Licensed Architect in Ontario and in good standing with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). Professional experience with residential and/or multi-residential projects. Experience preparing architectural drawings for permit submission. Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code and municipal permitting processes. Strong understanding of architectural coordination with structural systems. Ability to work with prefab, modular or alternative construction systems is an asset. Strong technical drawing and documentation skills. Ability to work independently on a project-based basis. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Must be located in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area, or be able to attend project meetings in the GTA when required.
